works fineAug 07, 2011
By TMS the only issue I have with the vacuum pump is it leaks oil. I have to make sure it has oil before using and keep it on plastic with newspaper. I haven't used it in awhile so if the oil all leaks out maybe I can find the leak and fix it. Other than the small oil leak it works fine.

Good pump!Jul 14, 2012

Although I have not had this product for long, I am pleased with it so far. Pulls a vacuum very quickly even though I leave it on for much longer to suck the AC system completely. Arrived quickly and has worked great so far. I am a professional mechanic with forty plus years experience. I would buy this product again.

Worked Great...the First TimeOct 21, 2012
By Rich Ordered the Robinair instead of a cheaper no-name brand figuring it would last. The first time I used it, it worked great. Pulled over 29 in of vacuum, nice and quiet, I was very happy with it. But when I got it out a couple of weeks later to use it a second time, it would only pull 25 in. I replaced the oil, but it still would only pull 25. So I talked with Robinair tech support (actually spoke with an application engineer at the factory, not a call center in India! Gotta give them points for that!). Anyway, he thinks one of the vanes went bad and only one stage is working. I'm sending it back for a warranty replacement. Hopefully it's not a design issue and the new one will work fine. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Great 2-Stage Vacuum pump - Can't fault itMay 30, 2012
By wusstig I used it to pull a vacuum on my truck AC. It got down to ~29-30"/hg on the gauges in about 3 minutes... deep vacuum and fast. No visible oil mist but you could smell it. Let it pull this vacuum for about 30 minutes. Pump was hot to the touch but the fan/shroud moved a lot of air across the motor... all in all, its a great 2-stage pump. Although its not mentioned (and I bought some separately), it did come with a bottle of vacuum pump oil... enough for 1 fill. Manual says to replace the oil after each use but I'll call BS on that...
